The 55th Monthly Report of the CIES Football Observatory analyses the contribution of national associations worldwide from the point of view of the production of professional players. To do so, we have traced the association of origin of 55,865 footballers having played during the 2019 calendar year in 132 top or second division leagues from 93 countries covering all continents.

I wonder what % of these players play in their home domestic league or play abroad. I imagine Brazil still exports the most players to high paying foreign leagues, particularly Europe.

I made this chart which highlights that of the top 5 soccer pro producing countries, the Spaniards get the most average game time and the Argentinians the least.
I wonder how the data categorizes players with multiple nationalities. (Diego Costa, Jorginho, etc.)
