Such competition means only a few great reads have sold tens or hundreds of millions of copies, topping the charts as some of the bestselling books of all time.

This dataset provides list of most translated individual authors to date according to the UNESCO Index Translationum.
Four out of the top five most translated authors are from the United Kingdom.
