In 2010, Google Books estimated that nearly 130 million books had been published, with now over 2 million new books published each year. In a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Rosenfeld found that heterosexual couples are more likely to meet a romantic partner online than through personal contacts and connections.
